The next two weeks in Europe could paint a picture if the national populist candidates in Western Europe have a viable path to governing. While Eastern Europe has given huge wins to national populists in Hungary, Slovenia, and Poland, Western Europe hasn’t been as receptive outside of tiny countries like Switzerland and Austria. This could all change with the upcoming elections in Italy and Sweden.
