I received a text message from a political commentator friend that read, “Trump can’t lose this election, right?” I replied, “Of course he can.”
There’s no shame in believing Trump has this in the bag. With six months before the November 2024 election, Joe Biden is in terrible shape. He’s polling worse against Donald Trump than any Democrat in the last eight years, his party is coming apart over the issue of Israel and Gaza, inflation is still ravaging middle and working-class Americans, and the invasion at the southern border has rallied millions of Republicans who had initially soured on Trump back to his corner.
Anyone watching MSNBC or spending time on liberal Twitter will hear about how Democrats have a secret plan: they have more state offices, and Biden has more money so that it will make a difference.
If dreams were horses, every progressive would ride.
Hillary Clinton had more organization and money than Trump in 2016, and Trump had more organization than Biden in 2020. If money decides the presidency, presidents Michael Bloomberg, Tom Steyer, and Jeb Bush would like to know when their inaugurations begin.
That doesn’t mean Biden can’t win; he can.
While national polling remains tight, there’s a significant divide in the electoral college polling separated between the South and the Midwest. This election comes down to The Sun Belt vs. The Rust Belt.
