Jan-October Birth Data Part II
What the fertility data is telling us about America
After months of waiting, the CDC finally updated its preliminary birth data for September and October.
As I wrote in a previous post, the preliminary birth data is clear evidence that mass deportations are working. Comparing January-October 2025 with the year prior, the number of foreign-born women having children in the U.S. has declined by more than 20,000, with all those numbers coming in the last few months since the administration ramped up mass deportations.
I could and likely will go into a further breakdown, looking at nationalities showing the most significant decline in birthrates, possibly looking at where the administration’s enforcement measures are working the best. For now, I wanted to break down some other interesting data on births to tell the story of where our country’s culture and politics are changing.
