ICE is looking to roll out a new voter ID card for illegal aliens this summer. ICE will try to give out 10,000 ID cards to illegal aliens, saying it will "modernize documentation provided to some noncitizens," but it stresses that it would not be an official form of federal ID. Conservatives insist that it will lead to illegal aliens obtaining other government documents, making it easier for them to obtain work permits, welfare, and potentially the ability to commit voter fraud. Education
Between low fertility rates and expanded access to private and charter schools, the U.S. suffers from an oversupply of schools and too few students. The number of students enrolling in schools across the country has declined, and several districts are closing both public and private schools. Districts in St. Paul, Minnesota; San Antonio, Texas; and Inglewood, California, are just a few examples of districts closing dozens of schools next year. Large cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York have an under-enrollment problem. (The Wall Street Journal)

Arizona Republicans will likely bring a ballot proposal to voters in November that gives state and local law enforcement the power to enforce immigration laws.
