Despite the Biden Administration’s fears that migrants would surge across the border when Title 42 ended, the opposite was true. The number of migrants apprehended at the border fell by nearly half to a still very high 5,000 encounters per day. The Los Angeles Times reported that migrants are highly aware of President Biden’s threats to deport and place five-year bans on migrants who come across the border. Many are waiting in Mexico to see if he makes good on his promises. It’s essential to remember that migrants often pay closer attention to American immigration laws than most Americans. If Biden doesn’t make good on his threats, then numbers will start to pick up again - just like they did under Trump when he failed to intact his immigration plan. Reporter José Díaz Briseño tweeted that migrant shelters in Mexico are 800 percent over capacity.
The Washington Post reported that despite decreasing the number of migrants encountered at the border, the Biden Administration continues to release far more migrants into the U.S. than deported or returned to their home country. For example, since Title 42 ended last week, the Biden Administration has released more than 21,000 migrants into the U.S., far more than the 11,000 who were deported.

Breitbart News reported several crime stories from illegal aliens across the border. First, an illegal alien from Honduras released into the U.S. by Biden’s DHS has been accused of raping a teenage girl in Prattville, Alabama. Then, in a car accident, another illegal alien from Guatemala killed two people in Polk County, Florida. Lastly, three migrants from Venezuela have been charged with a series of stabbings and shoplifting in the city of Chicago. Adding insult to injury, the three men lived in a government-funded migrant shelter when they committed crimes.
