The state of Texas is widening an investigation into nonprofits accused of helping aliens cross the border illegally. The main groups being investigated are Annunciation House, Angeles Sin Fronteras in Mission, Texas, Team Brownsville, and Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley. (Associated Press)
The Washington Post made a map of where migrants who came to the U.S. from 2014 to 2024 are believed to live. Migrants from specific regions tend to live in different regions of the country, with Hondurans living primarily in Southeast, Cubans living in Florida, Venezuelans in Florida and Illinois, and El Salvadorans living around Washington D.C.
Affirmative Action
A new lawsuit against Northwestern Law School detailed how DEI was used to blackball white male applicants. Many minority applicants who the university hired were far less qualified than fellow white applicants, and DEI was not used as a tiebreaker for two people of equal standing. (Daily Wire)
Education
Axios reported that the number of high school graduates is expected to peak in 2025 or 2026 and then decline significantly. Due to low birth rates for the last decade, many schools are expected to close across the country over the next decade. By 2037, the population of high school students will drop by 11 percent.
