According to an article by Forbes, rates of Chinese nationals attending US universities is decreasing, and said Chinese nationals are starting to seek higher education elsewhere including Hong Kong and Singapore. While neoliberals believe this will make America less competitive in the future, American universities have been soft targets for Chinese spies for decades. There’s also no sense in rewarding our largest rival on the world stage with an education from American universities.
The Department of Homeland Security said late Monday it is preparing to quickly end the Trump-era “Remain in Mexico” program and will no longer send asylum seekers back across the border to await a decision on their applications for U.S. protection, according to The Washington Post. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled June 30 that the Biden administration had the authority to terminate the program. The Biden Administration has created unparalleled chaos on our border with Mexico. This is one of the few remaining programs left dedicated to slowing the tide of migrants showing up at the border. This fall and the following spring could break record numbers of migrants from around the globe coming to the US.
The billionaire Koch brothers’ network of donor-class organizations is lobbying members of Congress to pass an amnesty for illegal alien farmworkers ahead of the November midterm elections, according to Breitbart News. Last week, executives from the Koch-funded Libre Initiative joined officials from former President George W. Bush’s administration as well as farm owners to ask Republicans and Democrats to pass the Farm Workforce Modernization Act — an amnesty for as many as 2.1 million illegal aliens working on United States farms.
Illegal immigrants aged 65 and over will be able to obtain taxpayer-financed health care in the record-breaking $220 billion state budget signed by Gov. Kathy Hochul and passed by the legislature, a move critics say will incentivize the undocumented to flood New York for the benefits. A provision in the budget allows up to 20,000 elderly residents living here illegally to apply for Medicaid. An individual would just need to have income of less than $18,754 to qualify. My friend Emma Jo Morris wrote this piece and I highly recommend you reading. Her feature in Breitbart News is a personal account about a New York City experience with one of the many new migrants under Biden’s presidency. Many migrants who have come through the southern border have been bused by red states into blue states like DC and New York, resulting in many homeless migrants in those cities.
