Immigration
According to the Daily Mail, an illegal alien shot and killed his three daughters and a chaperone at a Sacramento, California church on Monday before killing himself. The gunman, David Mora, 39, originally from Mexico, overstayed his temporary visa after entering the U.S. in December of 2018. The prior week, Mora was arrested for allegedly assaulting a California Highway Patrol Officer in Merced County; he then was subsequently released from jail. However, due to California’s so-called sanctuary state laws, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office was prevented from notifying Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials, allowing Mora to roam freely after his release. This was entirely preventable had it not been for California’s weak laws on enforcing immigration laws. Three little girls are dead because of former Gov. Jerry Brown and the Democrat controlled state legislature. In most other states Mora would have been detained, turned over to ICE, and deported.
A coalition of open-borders organizations teamed up to write a letter to President Joe Biden demanding that his administration increase immigration into the United States. Three groups who used to be revered by Conservative institutions were a part of the letter’s signatories, including the George W. Bush Institute, the Chamber of Commerce, and the billionaire Koch Brother’s network.
As noted by Breitbart News, “[a]s of January, more than 12 million Americans remain jobless, and another 3.7 million are underemployed, but all want full-time jobs.” Furthermore, a recent Gallup poll found that 35 percent of Americans want to reduce immigration, while nearly 70 percent of Republican voters want immigration lower than current levels.
