The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported 269,735 encounters with illegal aliens at the border in September. This even surpasses last year’s record-breaking numbers. September marks the end of the fiscal year for border crossings, bringing the annual total to 2,475,669 migrants encountered at the border—over 80,000 more than last year.
CBP also reported that 169 people on the FBI’s terrorism watchlist were apprehended trying to cross the southern border this fiscal year. That’s more than the last six years combined. Altogether, 282 people on the terrorism watchlist were apprehended at the southern border during Biden’s first three years in office, compared to 11 who were apprehended during Trump’s four years.
The Biden Administration has proposed new rule changes to the H-1b system that will hurt American workers. The proposed changes create new avenues to circumvent the 85,000 annual caps, dumb down the H-1b requirements, and ease the transition from student visa on OPT to H-1B.
