Immigration
The Department of Homeland Security released the June numbers of inadmissible aliens entering the U.S. during the course of Biden’s time in office; more than 10 million aliens were apprehended at the southern border.
The Justice Department has charged the largest housing provider for unaccompanied illegal alien children with repeatedly sexually abusing and harassing children in their care for at least eight years. Southwest Key Programs Inc. employees, including supervisors, raped, touched, or solicited sex and nude images of children beginning in 2015 and possibly earlier. They currently house over 6,000 migrant children. This is bound to happen when you have hundreds of thousands of children coming across the border with the promise of welfare and amnesty. Ultimately, this is a crime caused by open borders and mass immigration. (Associated Press)
Towns in southern Maine have donated more than $212,000 - almost all of which has come from taxpayer-funded grants from town governments to build a 200-unit “campus style” housing complex for migrants spearheaded by the Greater Portland Council of Governments. They hope to raise over $2 million to build the facility; this is on top of the $4.3 million that’s already been spent by the Maine State Housing Authority to fund Portland’s new 179-bed shelter focused exclusively on housing single asylum-seeking migrants that opened last November. Education
Arizona launched the country's largest state education voucher program, promising to save taxpayers money, as private schools cost less on average than public schools. Since the state didn’t slash spending on public education, as more students moved to private and charter schools, it created a $1.4 billion budget shortfall. Rather than cutting spending on education, politicians in the state are cutting spending on water infrastructure. (Pro Publica)
