The foreign aid bill includes $3.5 billion to supercharge migration from the Middle East. USCIS is opening field offices in Doha, Qatar, and Turkey to increase its capacity to bring Middle Eastern migrants to the U.S., bringing the total number of foreign offices up to 11. The Biden Administration’s cap on refugee resettlement for 2024 is 125,000 migrants. (Breitbart News)
The Biden Administration is mulling a plan to amnesty up to 1.1 million alien spouses of U.S. citizens through a maneuver called “parole in place.” Immigration hawks fear that if he’s successful in carrying that out by abusing parole for over a million illegal aliens, he’ll look to expand the program for the 15-20 million more illegal aliens who currently reside in the United States. A Texas grand jury has indicted 140 migrants on misdemeanor rioting charges over an alleged mass attempt to breach the U.S.-Mexico border on April 12th, a day after a judge threw out the case. (The Independent)
Roughly four dozen migrants that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis flew to Martha’s Vineyard about a year ago received U visas due to being “victims” of “physical or mental abuse,” insisting they were tricked into taking the flight. (Newsweek)
Crime
The Justice Department is conducting a criminal investigation into consulting firm McKinsey related to its past role in advising some of the nation’s largest opioid manufacturers on how to boost sales. They are also probing whether McKinsey or any of its employees may have obstructed justice in relation to records of its consulting services for opioid producers. (The Wall Street Journal)
