A Trump-appointed federal judge handed a big victory to Gov. Ron DeSantis. U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell ruled, “For the most part, the court finds in favor of Florida because, as detailed below, the evidence establishes that defendants have effectively turned the Southwest border into a meaningless line in the sand and little more than a speedbump for aliens flooding into the country.” The judge ordered federal authorities to vacate the parole policy, although he said he would give them seven days to appeal his ruling before it takes effect. Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador released a statement that his country does not produce or consume fentanyl. The statement was obviously false and came during a meeting with Biden’s homeland security adviser Liz Sherwood-Randall. (The Associated Press)
Burlington, Vermont, residents voted by a margin of 67-32 to extend local voting rights to illegal aliens enrolled in the DACA program, among other foreign nationals. The measure must still go before the state’s Democrat legislature and the Republican governor. There are 20 DACA recipients currently living in the whole state of Vermont as of 2020. (Breitbart News)
The Daily Caller reported that the Red Cross, which sits on the board of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Food and Shelter program, has guides for U.S.-bound migrants that include a map to the border, resources along the journey and a paper on what to do when encountering the dangers along the journey. This group receiving taxpayer funds is encouraging and aiding people to illegally enter the US.
Democrat Governor Tim Walz has signed a Democrat-approved bill into law that will give driver’s licenses to potentially 77,000 eligible illegal aliens. This law now reverses a 20-year-old law across Minnesota that required those seeking driver’s licenses to be either legal residents or American citizens. Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) signed that law.
