The number of migrants on the US terror watch list crossing illegally over the southern border has increased 400 percent from last year, with an expert warning that a violent extremist may already be in America planning an attack. US Customs and Border Protection reported that 78 immigrants on the US terror watch list have been apprehended crossing over the border last year, nearly four times as many as the 15 in 2021. Last year's report was up from three in 2020, with the US previously reporting zero in 2019, six in 2018, and just two in 2017. (Daily Mail)
Texas Governor Greg Abbott bused more than 11,000 migrants to the sanctuary cities of New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. since the project began in April. During that same period, Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 440,000 migrants in the five Texas-based border sectors, according to Breitbart News.
Gov. Abbott also designated specific Mexican cartels as terrorist organizations and ordered the Department of Public Safety to begin dismantling their infrastructure. The move comes as record levels of the deadly drug fentanyl are being pushed across the border. Abbott also directed the Texas Department of Public Safety and other law enforcement agencies to identify Texas gangs that support Mexican drug cartels. He directed that the funds of these gangs and other criminal enterprises that are supporting the cartels. (Breitbart News) Designating the Mexican drug cartel is one of the most important decisions a president can make, although Abbott’s decision is still helpful. The reason presidents, both Republican and Democrat, have failed to do so thus far is because the cartel is protected by the Mexican government and controls many regions of Mexico. Still with the cartel responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of Americans because of the drug trade, it needs to happen.
