According to Forbes Magazine, an Iraqi man in the United States accused of being linked to ISIS operatives was plotting to kill former President George W. Bush, which was uncovered through two confidential informants in cooperation with the FBI, as well as surveillance of the alleged plotter’s WhatsApp messages. According to the FBI search warrant unsealed this week in the Southern District of Ohio, the suspect was plotting to smuggle a team of compatriots into the country over the Mexican border. According to the warrant, the suspect, Shihab Ahmed Shihab Shihab, is an Iraqi national who had been in the US since 2020 and had an asylum application pending, and he said he wanted to assassinate Bush because he felt the former president was responsible for killing many Iraqis and breaking apart the country after the 2003 U.S. military invasion. The 9/11 Commission Report warned Bush that without a border wall, terrorists would try to sneak into the US.

Despite being deemed the “border czar” by the Biden administration, Vice President Kamala Harris has not listed any immigration-specific events in her summer since last summer, according to Real Clear Politics. Harris has attempted to address the border crisis by identifying the root causes of mass migration to the U.S. As Harris and her staff attempt to figure out the “root causes,” a record 234,088 migrants were apprehended after illegally crossing the Southern border last month.
Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker (R), who is a liberal, vetoed state Democrat legislation that overwhelmingly voted to allow illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses. While Baker vetoed the legislation, Democrats plan to override it, according to Breitbart News.
In May 2021, the Biden administration established a “fast-track” asylum program that was meant to help asylum seekers have their application process sped up. However, according to Breitbart News, over 99 percent of the illegal alien asylum seekers enrolled in the program submitted invalid claims and thus will be ordered to deport. Deportation under the Biden administration has been very slow as out of the 1.2 million illegal aliens, only one illegal alien has been deported for every 100 illegal aliens that cross the border.
