Migrants being deported to Panama on their way to countries that refuse American deportees, like Russia, China, Iran, and Afghanistan, have been in a mad rush to seek asylum at various embassies and consulates. More than 300 illegal aliens from the United States are residing in Panama until they face deportation back to their native country. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Trump Administration began enforcing the “first country rule,” which means migrants who don’t declare asylum in the safe first country they arrive in will be denied asylum into the United States.
