On Bill Maher’s show this weekend, he gave a monologue about the “fat acceptance” movement being pushed by the left. He detailed how letting yourself go has gone from an occasional event Americans indulged in during the holiday season and dog days of summer has become a national past time.
Obviously Maher is a liberal who probably doesn’t agree with me on many issues but on this one he’s entirely correct. Our addiction to cheap fast food has become a national crisis that costs the US billions a year. It’s also truly a bipartisan issue with progressives pushing this “fat acceptance” nonsense or the idea that you can be healthy at any weight. Truth is if you have more rolls than fingers and toes, you’re not living your best life.
This is even showing up in major fashion brands that have shifted their advertisements to plus size models that have “realistic” bodies instead of the idealized ones.
