Fighting for Borders but Not a People

The House of Representatives is feverishly pushing a discharge petition to force a vote on a Ukrainian funding bill that includes some border security measure, though it won’t look like the Senate monstrosity.

Ukraine hawks are growing increasingly worried that the country cannot continue in the war for much longer.

Sen. Rubio acknowledged on March 3rd that Ukraine would not be able to achieve its ideal goal of retaking all the land lost by Russia, including Crimea. Likewise, Sen. Romney acknowledged that $61 billion in additional funding would not change that battlefield but communicate to the world that we’re the good guys.

The West’s effort to virtue signal and provide endless taxpayer money to save Ukranian borders is coming at a larger cost: the Ukranian people.
