So, the presidential primary is officially over; Trump vanquished his last opponent, and we’re heading into a general election that millions of Americans don’t want. The Biden/Trump rematch.

We’ve known this is coming for some time. The polls have been showing a slow and steady build-up for Trump for the last nine months, and Biden managed to avoid any serious political challenger despite having big concerns over his health and age. His only serious opponent were Democrat voters who cast an uncommitted ballot in protest of his war in Gaza.

What for many people seemed inevitable does tell a story about shifting political support and a possible preview of the November election. Here are some of my biggest takeaways from what we saw in the primaries.
